Inspire 2 won't sync and data is lost after finally syncing

My Fitbit (Inspire 2) wouldn’t sync at all for the past week. The app on my iPhone would just stay half way through then say that it can’t be synced. I followed the instructions online and restarted by Fitbit then my phone. Now, it “syncs” but with no data for a week. I’m so frustrated!! What’s the solution?

Hi there, @kaayasat. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear about the syncing issues with your Inspire 2 and your data loss. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

Based on the description of your post, please note that what you've experienced with your data loss is an expected behavior since you have been having syncing issues. Going a bit deeper into this, note that most Fitbit devices store up to 7 days of detailed minute-by-minute data. If you wait longer than 7 days before syncing, you may only see the most recent week's detailed data. Summary data (calories, distance, steps, and floors) will be stored for 30 days. Nevertheless, if your Fitbit device was unpaired from your Fitbit account during this period of time, neither the 7 days can be recovered or restored.

However, if you remember the exact amount of steps or the name of the activity you performed, you can try manually logging the activity. For more information, see How do I manually log exercises in the Fitbit app?

If you continue having syncing issues, please confirm that you've followed all tips and recommendations provided here Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Same thing with my One. After trying to sync at least 6 times on the app, it finally takes. After I close the app and reopen, the data is gone. And all accumulated data for the last few days is not there either . It also won’t sync to Stridekick anymore. Fitbit you have not fixed the problem going on a month now. Total frustration

moderator input is irrelevant. Data doesn’t stay on app day to day but is recorded by Fitbit servers; I get a weekly Fitbit email saying how many steps I did but the app doesn’t do the same. Deleted and reinstalled app. Turned off phone for hard reset. Nothing. Same problem. Fitbit, solve this…it is Your problem to fix

Fitbit app hasn’t worked correctly since August 26, 2024; data from that day and before is still there. Any data beyond that day is not showing. Are you techs even trying? Whatever you did on that day messed up everything; you have to fix that issue and not apply bandaids
