My inspire 2 failed to sync with my Pixel phone on Tuesday 4th Oct. I noticed yesterday that I had missed 2 days sleep recording, and that the device was not in my Bluetooth 'previously connected' devices. I went through a long and tedious process of restarting the device and the phone, and eventually got it working. The app now says that it sync'd at 10am yesterday. However there were no sleep records for the 2 missing days, presumably because I had reset my device before it was able to successfully sync.
Today I seem to have the identical problem. Heart tracking is working on the device.
I really don't want to go through this rigmarole again today, and lose last night's sleep record.
What is going on here? It's been working OK for 11 months.

I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app, and it is now sync'd. I think the instructions for what to do with sync problems should include doing this before resetting the device, as that causes data loss.
