Hello @MCMarshy

Try restarting your Inspire 2 to see if that addresses the water lock issue. Just press down and hold the buttons of your Inspire 2 until you see a smiley face icon then release the buttons.

🤞 I hope this helps and gets your water lock feature working again. Please let me know.

Since the update, I feel like I need to tap much, and I mean much harder to activate and deactivate the water lock.

If you put your Fitbit on your ankle when you ride your spin bike, then you just don’t get it.

Hello again @MCMarshy

Here is a YouTube video that will show you how to restart your Inspire 2 : https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RPFct7kMFcw

To turn off water lock, firmly double-tap the middle of the screen with your finger. If you don't see "Unlocked" appear on screen, try tapping harder. Turning off this feature uses the accelerometer in your device, which takes more force to activate.

This article will help you if your having trouble unlocking the water lock. It will also help with activation of your water lock as well: https://www.myhealthyapple.com/fitbit-stuck-in-water-lock-mode-lets-fix-it/

Please let me know if this helps.

Follow along as I show you how to restart Fitbit Inspire 2 two different ways. The first way is if your Inspire 2 is responding to taps and swipes; The second way is if your Inspire 2 isn't responding to taps and swipes. Note: Restarting or rebooting your Fitbit device should not erase any data ...

Hello @NanaRuns

I disagree with your remarks. If you read the original poster’s message carefully and closely your will see that it states “After the latest update, I cannot active water lock at all”…. Meaning they can’t activate their water lock. It’s never stated it’s stuck in water lock mode. The subject line even states “Water Lock Not Working After Update”

The manual Inspire 2 even states: To turn on water lock, tap Water Lock > firmly tap your screen twice. To turn off water lock, double-tap your screen again. If enabling the water lock by firmly tapping your screen doesn’t activate the water lock mode it would be a troubleshooting tip to try and restart the Fitbit.

As I stated if restarting the Fitbit didn’t resolve the issue then the article link allows the user to view possible troubleshooting tips that cover BOTH getting your Inspire 2 manually into water lock or tips on how to address it if it’s possibly stuck in water mode.

That’s why I deleted the post a few minutes after I posted it.  Not sure how you saw a deleted post.
