I’ve had my new Fitbit Inspire HR for a week. The battery drains in two days and the screen displays impossible battery percentages, such at 118% charged. Additionally, my Fitbit “counts” calories when I’m not even wearing it, so I highly doubt it is accurate when I am wearing it. I’m very disappointed. This product was expensive AND my first purchase from this company.

Welcome aboard my friend @KourtnieH. I'll be glad to give you a hand with your inquiry about calories burned and the battery issues with your new Inspire HR.
First of all, we need to check how your Fitbit Inspire HR is calculating your calories. Fitbit account provides an estimated amount of calories burned taking in count your BMR (age, gender, height and weight), so even if you're not wearing your Fitbit or if you're in a sedentary state your Fitbit will calculate the calories your body has burned during those periods of time.
So, we can say that the number of calories burned that Fitbit provides takes into account your BMR, the activity recorded by your device and any manually logged activities.
In your online Dashboard on the browser you can get more information and details about your calories and steps. The tiny red lines represent your BMR and the large ones the calories burned by activities. ![]()
About the issues with the battery of your Fitbit, I'd suggest to perform a restart on your Inspire HR. Then follow these steps:
1. Disconnect ("unpair") your device in your mobile device's Bluetooth settings. The instructions differ by device, but in most cases: Tap Settings > Bluetooth and find your tracker in the list of paired devices.
2. Open the Fitbit app under Account (upper right corner), Tap Fitbit Inspire and then remove it
3. Reboot your mobile device.
4. In the Fitbit app under Account (upper right corner), tap Notifications > turn on the notifications you want to receive.
I'll be around in case you have more questions.
