Inspire HR Firmware Update

Hi! I just had a firmware update, and surprisingly, the sleep hours, water intake, and weight are gone. Is this suppose to be part of the update? I hope someone could answer. Thanks.

My wife and I got these from our daughter for xmas. We've been using them and had a few problems.

But, I'm giving them a few more weeks before I give up. One thing I didn't like is the sleep monitoring chart doesn't give me a plot of my sleeping HR.  (They want to sell the deluxe plan). But, a work-around is to use the Resting HR plot.

The update today was a mess. But, I got mine done (see above) and I'm about to do the other one.

It had to be charged (it was at 60%).. Gonna go do that right now. Wish me luck! 🙂

Cheers,

Rich

I will try to restart it. I hope it would work fine. Thanks for all the responses!

Just updated my wife's IHR! It only took about 35 minutes! (used the same method as above).

Maybe the servers were too busy this morning? IIRC they were busy on the morning of Dec 25th too! 😉

Cheers,

Rich

The update went smoothly for me this morning. It did take about 30 minutes.

The only tiny issue I had was that the update turned on GPS and turned off heart rate settings.

I have been going back and forth with customer support since January 1st. I’ve gotten Dei.D, Kenneth O.( who kept addressing me as “Null”), Generoso, Christine, And now Mark A. This update better resolve the issues I was having to begin with.... I’m so frustrated!!

Hi, Elika!

I'm Danny.

I just updated my Inspire HR tracker and I must report I did have the same issue as you. I simply restarted my tracker. If you don't know how to restart your tracker, which I assume you do, you just place your tracker on it's charging wire and hold the button for 8 seconds until the 😃 appears on screen. This fixed my issue!

For everyone else, I simply updated my tracker by putting my phone and tracker on the charger and putting the screen timeout to 30 minutes. Updated with no problem.

Good luck!

Danny

Just your ordinary person... I think? I own the Versa 2 and my phone is the Google Pixel 4 XL running Android 11.

I just tried charging mine.  When I did, the additional screens came back.

Yes this also happened with my Inspire HR after updating so I restarted the tablet and now it is back to normal.  When I say 'normal' that is the sleep icon isn't highlighted still but the others you mentioned are appearing again now and all working except for slelep..  Supposedly the update was to fix the sleep icon but it didn't on mine or my friends.

I think they just added some clock faces and that was it. They said "bug fixes" (not much elaboration on the other thread) but that doesn't seem to include the over count issue. I know for a while mine wouldn't sync with the app right, I had to constantly re-close and open it. So maybe they just fixed that

EDIT: HR jumps down dramatically mid-workout when I know my heart rate is up. Kind of ruining my motivation since my device is no longer serving it's purpose 👍

My update at 23:00 UTC 10 Jan took about 2 hours and it seemed that nothing was happening during this time. No progress bar on my phone apart from one red dot that came and went from time to time and only one bright led in the status bar on the Inspire. They both noted the completed update at the end. There was a warning I came across that if the update is applied over midnight when the date changes there will be some problem with the data recorded at that time.

This update is the nail in the coffin. I'll be getting a Garmin next week. I'll never look back at Fitbit again.

The update on my Inspire HR seems to have gone quite smoothly so far.
- I always proceed to FW updates with the band on the charger and the mobile very close to the band
- I always reset the band like ...4-5 times in a row after FW updated. It usually helps
- The sleep icon (as well as the hydration and the weight, I think) seemed to have disappeared initially.  After 2-3 hours, a tracked gym activity and some syncs with the app it re-appeared.

Our 2 new IHRs are both updated and running fine using our Android phones.

Now I know not to quickly update after the notice is issued. Servers will be overloaded and it will be slow.

I'm having some bradycardia issues and I really appreciate having a tracker that I can wear at night.

I've been checking the accuracy of the HR with other HR sensor equipment and it's right on.

So far, the IHR has met my expectations.

Cheers,

Rich

I just don't see how during a high intensity exercise I go from 140-160 range to 92. Even if I find I have to stop for a moment when I start again I usually resume within the 120 range. I'm glad yours is working properly but I really don't think mine is.

I did try to restart it a few times. But it didn't show the icons.

Though during the later part of the day, I checked it again. It's already showing the icons! 🙂

Finally got mine to update! I had to sit with my phone and keep it awake! Just wondering if it was taking so long because of everybody updating at once
