I recently purchased a second hand fitbit inspire HR. I'm trying to set it up but it seems that neither my iphone or macbook air is compatible. I have an Iphone 6 which cannot update to IOS 13, so that makes it impossible to download the app. I installed fitbit connect on my Macbook, which seems to have worked, but when I open the program nothing loads. I just see a spinning wheel and it doesn't give me any option to sync the fitbit. My mac OS is very old (I'm still using10.10.5). Is my technology simply too outdated to sync my fitbit?

Hello @hipstorian and welcome to the Help forum. Fitbit recently changed the minimum iOS for the iPhone app. As you learned, an iPhone 6 can't support iOS 13. The issue with your MacBook is a little different. The Inspire HR isn't compatible with Fitbit Connect at all. Yes, you are outdated. You need a compatible Android/iPhone to set up an Inspire HR.
Although your devices work well enough to meet your day to day needs, Apple doesn't provide security updates for your phone or laptop anymore.

Thank you for your response. Luckily I found my old Iphone SE, which surprisingly was able to update to the new ioS and I was able to download the app and sync my inspire. I was surprised to realize how outdated all my technology is, but it looks like I can hold on to my iphone 6 a little longer and still use the fitbit with my SE. It's unfortunate that fitbit Connect is not compatible with the Inspire HR anymore. There must be other fitbit owners as outdated as me.
