Inspire HR GPS Not Tracking Route

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have recently bought an Inspire HR and have been connecting it to my phone to use GPS for walks/bike rides. It was working fine, using the map to track my route. However, for some reason it isn’t tracking my route properly on the map anymore - the line will barely move or show I have walked a completely different route - all other stats seem to update. This keeps happening but I’m not doing anything differently - I make sure it is connected properly before starting the exercise and I have checked background refresh/location settings/mobile data settings etc on my phone! Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

@SunsetRunner Have you tried uninstalling the Fitbit app and reinstalling it, then going on another walk/bike ride?

I didn’t! I have just done so now so hopefully can get out and test it later! Fingers crossed - thanks 🙂

Tried uninstalling the app and it’s still done the same thing! 😞

I am having the same issue.  It worked fine until a few days ago and then the GPS started making straight lines between random places on my walk and not tracking distance correctly.

Same here.  Worked fine on Sunday but today on both Nordic walks it shows me walking in straight lines across fields, roads and on water!!  Tried everything and still not working.

I had this problem until I started tracking the exercise from my phone instead of from the device itself. I'm not sure how you are starting the exercise, so I hope this helps.

But I have to admit some of the former maps were diverting -- apparently I was able to walk across a lake in  a straight line, despite the lack of a bridge. Oh, and I also walked through people's houses.

Spoiler
I am also having problems with this. I noticed when I logged exercise the map was like all over the place where I hadnt been walking. and I felt like I was walking alot further than the mileage shown, so today I tracked it both from my phone and my fit bit and there was a 3 mile difference. I just got my dit bit last week and I am NOT impressed.

I am tracking via my phone so not sure why it is showing me walking in straight lines. I have switched off the phone as that seems to work when I have had other issues. Just frustrating when trying to track my daily walks

After completing the recent firmware update for the device, my GPS tracking is working well again.
