I have an older Inspire HR that has been sitting in a drawer for a while. I plugged it in this morning and got green lights in the back and a black screen. I tried to reset it, and got the smiley face for a few seconds and then a black screen again. When I tried to set it up thru the app, the app recognizes it and tries to set it up, but when it asks for the four-digit code, I just have the black screen. I am fully aware it might just be too old, but the fact I do see the smiley face makes me think that maybe there’s hope.

Sounds like you didn't leave it on the charger long enough. It needs to be on the charger for a minimum of 2 hours.

I just checked it again. It charged all day. I forgot about it! 😂. Still a black screen. I still get a smiley face if I press the buttons for the 8 seconds while it is connected to the charger, but then it goes black again.

Have you tried setting up through the app to see if there's any sort of reaction from the device?
