Inspire HR calendar notifications issue

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I'm surprised I have not found other similar complaints. I like that I get notifications on my InspireHR from my calendar reminders, but mine have been problematic almost since I got this (in February). On my phone, I usually set reminders for maybe 2 hours in advance and then 15 minutes, or something along those lines. However, the notifications that get sent through the fit bit are INSANE. I might get 20 to 40 notices, and at totally random times and very often. Like I got the same reminder ( think this one was set for "at the time" and "1 day before" for 1 calendar item, which is for tomorrow. I have already gotten at least 6-8 reminders including, most recently, at about at about 12:48 and and again at 12:51 as an example, so there is no relation to when I have set reminders and got several others, earlier today. Often the repeated vibrating from these wake me up since sometimes they repeat throughout the night! When I called FitBit to complain about 5 months ago, they just said to reset it, but that did not help. It's making me nuts!

Hi @dlevitt, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. I totally understand how you feel about the calendar notifications that your Inspire HR receives constantly and randomly. By the way, thank you for trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

I'd like you to try a long restart. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.
  8. Set up your Inspire HR from scratch

After this, make sure that your phone has the most recent Fitbit app version installed. If the app is up to date, try logging out of the app, restart your phone, open the app and log in. Then, turn off the notifications and turn them on again.

Finally, monitor your Fitbit device and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome.
