I bought a new Fitbit Inspire HR when I sadly lost my old Flex 2 about 2 weeks ago. The new tracker is ok, but the charger cord is wayyyy too short and the stupid magnet which is supposed to secure the tracker to charger isn't strong enough to hold the two in place if you are hanging the charger from an outlet. And if you plug it into an extension cord or something on the floor, it isn't long enough there either. You have to find some weird way to brace the two pieces so the weight of the Inspire watch doesn't pull it off the charger. Crappy system!

I had the same problem. Fortunately you can buy longer third-party charge cords on Amazon at reasonable prices.

You can buy a USB extension cable and use the original charger that came with the device. They cost no more than $3 shipped on eBay. I think a 3ft cable would be sufficient, but sometimes they sell 6ft models for that price as well.

I agree the charging cord is awful. When I inquired about the cord with support, I was told it is a known problem and it should be on a flat surface etc.... Even on a flat surface the cord is so short it doesn't stay connected. It does not charge completely and I fear it is ruining the battery life only charging part way.

Actually in general for lithium batteries, if anything, it is better to charge in shorter spurts, so don't worry about ruining battery life by charging part way.

I bought the longer cord from Amazon but it is still a balancing act to get the Fitbit to stay on. The magnets are not as strong as the actual Fitbit charge cable, which is too short to even use on my computer USB.
I love the Inspire HR but it is a nightmare to charge it.

I bought one of the charging stands on Amazon and it works quite well. But I don't feel I should have to buy another charger--Fitbit should supply a 1/2 decent one.

I love my new Inspire HR Fitbit! Hate the charger. This is about the most asinine setup I’ve ever seen! You know, plug it it into an extension cord or buy a different one through Amazon. The facts are.... I shouldn’t have too. Didn’t they test these before they put them on the market. What is their reasoning for a super short cord and a magnet to attach the Fitbit to the charger? STUPID!!

Way too short! I will look for the extension thingies on Amazon.

Isn’t that rediculous to have to do that. Replacement cords don’t have strong enough magnets. I’ve spent a small fortune trying to better the charging system. They all fall off the charger and I wind up with an uncharged Fitbit in the morning. Very disappointed in charging process.

I agree. Just received my Fitbit and am having the same problem with the charging cord.

It is dreadful. To spend almost £100 on a product and have a lead that is this short is very poor. Not good enough fit bit.

I completely agree, the charging cord is way too short.
