Inspire HR display stopped working

Hi,

My Inspire HR has been playing up on and off intermittently the last few months (it stops responding to touch/ won’t scroll), but this has usually been fixed by restarting and or charging the device for longer.
Yesterday my device wasn’t responding to touch and it didn’t fix as usual after a few restarts and a charge (which was odd as I had charged it on Thursday!).
As it was working other than that (and the time zone change not syncing as I am on holiday) I continued to use it but noticed it lost charge a lot during the day.
After a final charge before bed I went to bed with it on 99% charge and a smiley face after another restart.

Cue this morning. I woke up and it was flashing as if being touched, flicking through all the options (steps, hr etc) and was on 36% rapidly falling to 14% when I finished the sync.
As it was low I popped it on charge and went on the community pages, via Google, to see if there were any fixes. I changed the clock face in response. And when it got to 22% charge I took it off and went for a swim (knowing the 22% normally lasts me at least 24hours).
the watch died mid swim.

When I got back to where I’m staying I popped the watch back on charge and synced it. Only 2/3 of the swim was recorded before death but that happens.

when I took it off charge with the app saying 80% I noticed the display wasn’t working at all. I happened upon a software update and did that hoping it would fix it. Charge went back down to sub 30 and I put it on charge again.

after a while I took the device back off charge and noticed the green light wasn’t working and nor was the display and it wouldn’t sync either just saying it was at 6%.

I gave up and put it back on charge and tried to reset AGAIN.
no luck.
In a last ditch attempt this evening I thought I’d be “clever” and make the app forget the inspire HR and then readd it. As I added the device over a year ago I’d forgotten it would need a code to display on screen but the device was found l- just can’t be added as it won’t reset and the display won’t turn on!
I’m not sure what else I can try? Any ideas?
(got the watch in Dec 2019 and I’m not sure if I still have the box to find a serial number and it was a gift from my parents so I don’t know about a receipt either)
