Recently my phone is not recording all my walks. I walk two or three times a day - for a minimum of twenty minutes and my watch is set to record over 15 minutes. My Inspire used to accurately record all these walks and I have not changed my settings. I use nordic walking poles for my walks during the day but not the evening walk. So I have an arm swing and there is no obvious pattern as to which walks record.
