My Wife and I bought a Fitbit Inspire Hr for our 11 year old grand daughter because this is what she wanted. I'm a tech professional with over 30 years in the computer industry. I have to say that the experience with this Inspire HR and what it takes to get it functioning so my grandchild can enjoy has been anything but a fun experience. This device does not connect to her Galaxy Note 8. I have worked with thousands of Bluetooth devices and have never run across such a complicated procedure. Not only is the website very hard to find what you need, once you create the parent account and the child account, the only devices I can add our grandchild too is an Ace or Ace2. What the hell is that? From just this experience I think that we will return the item and just go with a brand that makes sense. This product brand and how it expects its end users to use it is a mess. Oh did I mention that we spent 4 hours trying to get this thing to work for her. I have helped debug and develop industrial software to run a factory and have helped build a few multi-million dollar IT infrastructures, but cannot for the life of me get this to work out of the box.

Bought an inspire hr for my wife and ace2 for my son. Have set up an account for both. The next step I linked the ace 2 to the mobile phone app, picked up Bluetooth and seems to be working correctly. I also set up the family account. I have then tried to link the inspire to Bluetooth and it is not picking anything up. If I had known the process was so longwinded and overly complicated I would not have bothered buying the 2 and am considering retuning unless it's sorted soon. Can anyone help please. I have deleted the original accounts but they seem to take 7 days to remove in the hope of starting again but if I have to wait 7 days before I can do anything they are being returned.
