Inspire HR losing GPS

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I track on my inspire HR when I go for a run, it records as 3.2km on the watch. However, when I sync to my phone, it appears that GPS gets lost and the fitbit app states I ran 2.4km.

This happens quite frequently, and the map mainly shows the same area where the route appears to get lost, but sometimes it deletes different areas? When I run using different apps (e.g. mapmyrun) it records accurately and keeps that GPS.

It used to be accurate and sync the same, has stopped probably in the last 4-5 months or so.

Any ideas what is happening? If it helps, I have a Huawei p20 lite.

Thank you!

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Ellie-Hello. Thanks for sharing your GPS inquiry and for letting us know your phone's model.

All devices with GPS sensors require a direct path to GPS satellites to calculate location. A weak GPS signal might affect the accuracy of your route and other activity data. Your device uses your step count to calculate distance until it finds a signal, so the total distance calculated for a workout may be slightly less accurate when GPS isn't available for the entire time.
