Inspire HR losing steps

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I’ve notice that my Inspire HR is dropping steps somehow. A few days ago after a run I checked my step total but when I looked a few hours later it was showing a much lower total. I wasn’t fully paying attention so thought I’d been mistaken. However, this evening after my run I noted my total as 9137. I’ve just checked again (2 hours after the run)  and it’s now showing 8017. Any idea what’s going on here and how to fix it?

Hi @Bexx146, welcome to our Fitbit Community. Since you mentioned that your Inspire HR is losing steps, I'd like you to restart it as described in this help article. After this, monitor your Fitbit device during the next 24 hours and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Hi Juan,

Thanks I'd already tried the restart and it made no difference. I ended up contacting Fitbit support and it turns out the issue was because my Fitbit was linked to Strava and the Strava data was over riding the Fitbit data and deleting the steps which hadn't been tracked using Strava. I've now disconnected my Fitbit from Strava and that's fixed it.

Thanks
