I just finished a hike, was at 7, 001 steps and active for 97 minutes. Came home for 10 minutes, and suddenly lost over 100 steps, and the active indicator went back to 0! Why did this happen? How do I fix this?

Sort of happened to me but with my lifetime steps. I left my Fitbit without charge for about 4 or 3 days. My lifetime steps when it was dead changed from 58,000 to 38,000!!! I checked my average steps and it also said 38,000. I thought it was a glitch but tonight I charged my Fitbit to 100% and my lifetime steps went down to 26,000 after I reloaded!!!Then my average said 26,000 as well!!!! I’m really sad I missed a lot of my steps! I’m losing against my friends 😢😅😂

Hi @Wolfgyrrl Try restarting your Inspire several times and see if it happens again. Hopefully just a glitch!

Hi all,
I've only had my Fitbit for 9 days and twice it has changed from being on the screen where I can scroll between time, steps and so on - to being on some factory setting screen (with details of the manufacture of the Fitbit).
The only way I have been able to get out of that screen is to press the side button for 3 seconds. Then it wipes all of the steps I've taken since I last synced - it wiped approx 5,000 steps the first time it happened; and about 4,000 steps when it happened again an hour ago.
Very frustrating.
I'm wearing mine as a clip on (not watch).
Any suggetions about how to get out of this 'factory setting' screen and return to the steps screen without losing steps would be most appreciated.
Many thanks,
Liz

Hi @Platypus436 Restarting your Inspire (pressing the side button for 3 seconds while on the charger) should NOT remove any data, whether itnhas been synced or not. If it is removing it, your tracker is not functioning correctly. Going to a Fitbit info or setup screen should not be happening either and you should either return it to the store you bought it, or contact Support.
