Inspire HR not properly syncing

I am totally frustrated with Fit Bit and ready to toss it out. Each morning I like to check my sleep data, and about every 2nd or 3rd morning Fit Bit tries to refresh but says it can't find the device that is sitting two inches from it. I've tried re-starting my cell phone, but doesn't always work. If I'm lucky, sometime later in the day I'll find that Fit Bit has finally synced.  I don't know how to turn off/on Fit Bit to help reset it.

Sleep and steps are the only things I watch with FitBit. Today, sync couldn't be found, so steps and sleep did not show.  Trying to solve problem, today, by mistake, I logged 8 hours of sleep manually, and then deleted it.  Will I eventually get back the real reading of my sleep from Fit Bit?  Or will this sleep be totally lost?

I'm on an Android cell phone - i think it's a Google phone, but not sure - it was a gift and i can't remember.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Let me help you with your Inspire HR not properly syncing with your phone and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Which phone are you using? Is it compatibleYou can try the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Let me know how it goes.

This is my 4th Fitbit, first Inspire. I've never had an issue with any of them  but I find my self resetting this one once or twice a week! It's very frustrating,  I've had this one for almost 5 months,  do you think its defective?

Hi I've had my inspire hr for about 7 months now and for the last 2/3 months it's stopped syncing with my Samsung phone, I have to go on to sync phone and it tells me it can't find device but I'm next to it, this has also stoped me receiving calls and messages to my fitbit, I've followed all the steps on this forum and its still not corrected the issue, can you help please

Thanks for your answer to my problem. I couldn't locate your answer before this time because I didn't know how to return to the Community. So voila! Today I am here but came here due to other problems -- mostly related to the HRV numbers being woefully inaccurate. Anyway, thanks for your help.  As you can see, I survived (so far) the pandemic!! Hope you did as well.
