Inspire HR screen not working correctly

I have been experiencing this with my device since the very beginning. I have tried plugging it in and holding the button until the smile lights up but that doesn't correct the issue.

Receiving notifications from my phone stopped working, I had to manually turn it back on again but am having the same issue. My watch will vibrate when I receive a message, I press the button and the screen flashes off so fast, I cannot read the message. The same is still happening when I press the button for the time.

Is there some way to fix this?

 

On a side note, I tried to send a direct message to the support page but it requires me to have a Twitter account, which I have no interest in having. I hope someone in the forum can help me out.
