Inspire HR blank screen

Fit bit inspire hr screen went black. Tried resetting by pressing side button for 8+ seconds: nothing. Tried charging: nothing. Cleaned the charger and fitbit: nothing.  The fitbit doesnt indicate it is charging. The back has now stopped flashing green. The fitbit app says it is at 33 %. When I check Bluetooth it shows up but when pressed it says "an app is needed to use this device".

The support chat is down so in the meantime any ideas?

Hi there, @EmIntoFitness. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Inspire HR is still not responding. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

If your Inspire HR seems not to be charging, please note that there are some issues that affect this, being which power source is used and how clean the contacts are and how well the charger is seated. If you are charging your Inspire HR on the wall socket, try using another CE certified USB adapter for low energy devices. If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend following the tips and recommendations provided here Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

As per the message on your Inspire HR, it seems like it is asking you to pair it again. So I'd suggest doing the following once you manage to charge your device:

  • Check if by any chance your phone's Bluetooth shows the Inspire HR as a connected device. If so, please unpair/remove it.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Setup your Inspire HR again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Inspire HR one more time.

If you can't get started with your Inspire HR, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Regarding the battery level on the Fitbit app, note that the battery level on the Fitbit app updates every time you sync. That means that if your Inspire HR hasn't synced yet, your app will still show the battery percentage of the last sync.

I managed to get it charged by hooking it up to my laptop, but within hal an hour of taking it off the charge it died again and won't charge. Should I still unpair it?
