Inspire HR sleep data inaccurate

I bought my son the Inspire HR and it hasn’t been tracking his sleep accurately, last night it said he was awake for over 2 hours. I know that wasn’t the case. I’ve had sensitivity to normal.

Also when I look at the app to see his sleep it stops recording for the rest of the night?

I hope someone can help?

Hi @Free-the-feet, nice to see you here! Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Smiley Happy

It's great to know that you've purchased the Fitbit Inspire HR. I'll be glad to give you a hand to help you out with the accuracy of the sleep tracking on his Inspire HR .

I was wondering how old is your son? Please note that we have different trackers made specifically for kids, such as Fitbit Ace 2. This tracker needs to be linked to a Fitbit family account to control who your kid connects with in the Fitbit app, there are some new cool designs.

Now, about the information that you've getting about his sleep. Thanks for changing the sensitivity to normal but please note that sleep stages aren't affected by the sleep sensitivity setting on his device. For more information, see How do I track my sleep?

Also it’s normal to see awake minutes in the sleep stages; studies have shown a typical adult could wake up briefly between 10-30 times per night (source). You may not remember waking up since you likely fell right back to sleep, especially if you were awake for less than 2-3 minutes at a time. If you wake up in the morning feeling like you had a restless night, you may notice more awake minutes in your sleep stages as compared to other nights.

If you think that the Inspire HR is having issues tracking his sleep, you can restart it and give it a try for a couple of days.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have more questions.

I am having issues with accurate sleep tracker as well.  Yesterday it logged me with an hour and a half nap mid day... um... no... I was at work!  Not only that, part of the time frame I was on lunch and took a walk.  I really want to like this new model but between inaccurate info and low battery life (maybe 2 days) it really doesn't seem worth it.

I am also having trouble.  There are periods during the night when there is no reading at all: about one hour at one point and around two hours at other.  I’ve tried restarting it and changing arms.

I have same problem EVERY night.

Fitbit records 1+hr of sleep then gap of 2+ hours then c3 am until morning ok.

I have tried other wrist,  I have tried different wrist positions, have no clothes/ bedding to tangle. Always the same. Screenshots available.

I just got a new Inspire and wore it for first time last night.  It claims I only got 2 hours and 39 minutes of sleep.  It seems to have stopped recording my sleep after I got up in the night to use the bathroom and let the dogs out.

I've used a Fitbit One for years and that was accurate, but I also had to "put it to sleep" and wake it up each time I went to sleep.  Can't find a way to do the same with the Inspire.  I'm really bothered by this inaccuracy.

Has anyone resolved this issue?  My husband has this same watch and every morning shows he slept an hour. Seems it starts over if he got up for water. I’ve contacted Fitbit twice and he switched arms and his was set to Normal so changed it to Sensitive. Restarted it. It still does the same thing regardless what he does. I bought the watch specifically to capture his sleep, I want the whole night pattern not for it show an hour each day.

Does Fitbit support even check on this anymore?
