Inspire HR step-count accuracy issue

This morning upon waking up my fitbit inspire HR shows I have done over 20,000 steps.

I have been able to solve my problem by deleting my device from my account
and then re adding it back in.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? Only the step-count was affected or other stats like heart rate, floors, distance too? In the meantime I receive your answers, please restart your Inspire HR and then you can delete the incorrect amount of steps that were synced with your account following the steps that are specified on: How do I delete steps and floors in the Fitbit app?
