Why does it log arm movements as steps when sitting down

Hi @Kcausey these devices are wrist based, so when you swing your arm, it counts it as a step. You can select dominant or non-dominant for your settings.

I have mine set on the non-dominant hand, but even if you put the settings on the dominant hand, those steps will still add up. A friend of mine knits, so she removes the Fitbit while she's sitting and making things. If it's not adding too many steps a day, I'd leave it. There are times I don't have my Fitbit on and those few extra steps probably make it about the right number of steps that didn't get counted while it was on the charger.
