Inspire HR step sensitivity

I got the inspire HR 2 days ago, and it's complete rubbish for step tracking. Fitbit is not a small company. How has there not been an update yet that fixes this sensitivity issue?! It tracks so many steps from just waving my hand around during daily tasks. I wish I could return it, but unfortunately I can't. The heart rate and sleep tracking are alright. But the step tracking(one of the main features is really bad).

See Why does my Fitbit device count extra steps?

Nothing worn on your wrist can tell exactly what your legs are doing.  Any wrist-worn tracker detects steps from the normal swinging of your arms as in normal walking.  Sometimes other arm movements might get interpreted as steps.  Over the course of a full day, most people find these differences are relatively minor.  But if you require an exactly precise step count, you are bound to be disappointed.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I'm pretty sure they can tune down the accelerometer sensitivity in a firmware update. This is just too sensitive. I have like 300 steps just from sleeping. Just the slightest movement counts as steps. If they can make the movement threshold a bit larger, then swinging your arms during normal everyday tasks should count less steps.

I'd like to add that sleep tracking and heart rate monitoring are fine. I can live with the step count issue. Just frustrated at the laziness of fitbit.
