Inspire HR syncing difficulties

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Had the inspire HR since early June, bought it off Amazon since it was cheaper than on the site. For the past couple days, it won't automatically sync and will sometimes say "device not found" when I refresh on the app. It won't read me any text notifications and it won't read my steps, it will track my heartbeat though. I did a soft reboot and then a full reboot, I even unpaired it and then repaired it to my Google pixel 2. I even turn off my Bluetooth and exit out of the app. That won't work or it will barely work. I've also tried deleting the app and reinstalling the app but that will give the same effect as turning the Bluetooth on and off. Any suggestions on how to fix it? I did email Fitbit support but wanted to see if there was anything I could incase I don't hear back for a while.

Hi @Emma_Bean nice to see you here. Thanks for sharing the Bluetooth issues with your Inspire HR. You've done an excellent job troubleshooting you Fitbit.

I really appreciate the time you've taken to get in touch with our support team, I'm sure they will contact you back soon. In the meantime, you can check the following steps to troubleshoot this:

Requirements for a successful synchronization:

  • For Android phones: to help improve the delivery, go to Notifications and make sure Enable Notification Widget is on. If you recently updated the Fitbit app, reboot your mobile device and try setting up notifications again.
  • Make sure the Do Not Disturb setting on your mobile device is turned off because it prevents the device from sending notifications to your tracker.
  • The software on your mobile device is updated. To check, tap Settings > General > Software Update iOS for Android  Settings > About phone > Android Version.
  • The Bluetooth setting on your mobile device is on. To check, tap Settings > Bluetooth.
  • If you use more than one Bluetooth phone, tablet, or computer to sync, the other one isn't nearby (or has Bluetooth disabled).
  • Your tracker's battery should be fully charged.
  • Also check your phone permissions and leave location on to keep syncing and getting notifications with your phone, for more info check this suggestions from @ErickFitbitSmiley Wink

If the syncing issue remains, I would recommend following the steps below:

  1. Force quit the App and turn off your phone
  2. Open Fitbit App, go to Account (upper right corner) > Delete Fitbit tracker from the Account
  3. Open the Bluetooth Setting on your phone and delete Fitbit Inspire HR from there too
  4. Reboot Bluetooth to make sure your Fitbit is not there
  5. Restart your tracker  a couple of times and Access back to Fitbit App > Account to set up your Fitbit tracker back
  6. Turn on notifications

You will find more syncing steps here.

This should solve any syncing issue that you're having, please keep me posted on the resolution! Smiley Wink
