Inspire HR won't sync

I've had my Fitbit since July of 2020, and before now I've never had a problem regarding syncing capabilities. Recently, however, within the last few days, I noticed that the watch hasn't been synced since very-late December of 2020, and so I tried to reconfigure the connection. The only problem is my phone doesn't even recognize my watch anymore. It won't show up on recently paired devices and it won't pair when it comes up on the pair a new device screen. I click pair and it loads for awhile only to go back to normal as if I'd never asked it to pair. 

 

I've tried all of the troubleshooting options I can find on the help forums as well as watching youtube videos (none of which worked). I'm just so confused. I've disconnected the device from the app, and even have re-downloaded the app, restarted my phone, force stopped the app, the list goes on, and nothing seems to be working.

 

I can find the device in-app in order to set it up, and it asks me for the 4 digit code, which shows up on my phone, but once I enter the code, it's stuck on connecting, telling me that the process is taking longer than usual, when in reality it just won't pair.

 

Is there something I can do about this?

I appreciate all the efforts in trying to fix this syncing issue. I was able to see here that our friend @Rich_Laue provided some instructions in order to fix this problem.
