Inspire HR won't update

My Fitbit app tells me there's an update available for my inspire HR and when I run the update it gets to the screen that says it may take 30 minutes to update but takes about 15 seconds and says it updated but it didn't actually update. I've tried my phone and PC both and neither works. Anyone know a solution to this? Thanks

I have 2 fitbit inspire hr with me since a year. On my husband's hr, he received an update 10 days back. My inspire hr does not show any updates at all. I have too many sync problems with the existing firmware. My husband's hr syncs every time in just 10 to 20 secs max. His firmware version is 34.20001.88.11 whereas mine shows 34.20001.63.12.

 

I tried to force update using help menu in my mobile app but after 30 secs, it says updated but the version remains 63.12.

 

Frustrated totally with Fitbit's sync issues since the last 1 year. I made my 2 sons to avoid buying Fitbit, they bought Garmin and Fossil instead. Recently some other family members asked me about my trackers, I told them to avoid Fitbit, they don't respond at all, at any time, at any cost. They are least bothered about customer satisfaction. They only want us to keep buying premium plans. Shame on Google for owning this useless company.

My update fails even though I followed all of the instructions. It tries to load the update but stops and then I get a message that "Something went wrong - there was an error while trying to update the device".

Replying to my own post. I turned my Inspire HR off and back on and it then updated. I would suggest that the procedure be added to the steps that are called out for the update.
