  • When I set my Inspire to charge, it never charges without problems. Even after cleaning the connectors, the screen regularly displays "check charger. Battery is not charging" It also often displays a black screen with a smiley for apparently no reason. I have to spend a lot of time adjusting it over and over to get it to charge at all. Why is the Inspire almost impossible to charge? What else can I try to get it to charge with first try? It seems to have a flawed desig

I I have the same problem and it’s so annoying that I’m strongly considering dumping the FitBit for Apple. The mechanism for connecting the charger to the FitBit is not well engineered. Until that’s corrected, there will always be a problem and no amount of fixes on the current charger will help.

I have the exact same issue, every time I try to charge it it takes at least 5 minutes of trying to find the sweet spot on the charger for it to actually work…

Thank you for replying but I already know HOW to charge my FitBit and what
is involved in troubleshooting. The issue is bigger than that. The design
of the connection of the charging cord is inherently flawed. Way too many
variables to present a consistent charging experience.

The fix is to admit that the mechanism is poorly designed and make another
one, which won’t happen because that’s just not the way products life
cycles go.

Thanks,

Sarah (currently a FitBit owner but probably a future Apple Watch owner)
