Hello @JamesonG and welcome to the Help forums. The fact that you say you have a Fitbit One clip means that you have experience with a torso tracker. I think all wrist trackers over count steps. There are movements of daily living, that aren't steps, that get counted as steps. I think torso trackers can under count steps. Small steps, especially side to side, and steps on soft carpet can get missed. On any given day, your true step count is somewhere between the two.
I don't think that your Fitbit One clip will hold your Inspire securely. Also, the Inspire Manual recommends wearing it with the screen facing outward. Just like the One. I never wore my One in a pocket to know if in a pocket gave different numbers from facing outside on a pocket.
