Inspire is no longer tracking my exercises

Apparently I've done no exercise since 7th June 2023.

This is clearly not the case, so I'm wondering what has happened with your system that all of a sudden my Fitbit has stopped acknowledging any exercise that I've been doing.

I've turned the device on and off as suggested in every other post that has been made on this same subject.

I now have a new phone as well that the device is perfectly paired with and it syncs just fine, but not an ounce of exercise since 7th June 2023 has been recorded, although I've been hiking and walking each day for months.  I find this very frustrating as I got the Inspire once your company stopped supporting the Fitbit One.  I will only wear a device that fits in a clip and am now looking about for a Garmin device to get instead as I suspect that the Fitbit Inspire is going the way of the Fitbit One.

Hi there, @Happy.. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums and sharing the details about the issue with your Inspire. I understand how you must be feeling. 

Have you tried restarting your Inspire? If not yet, please see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Nevertheless, please note that most Fitbit devices automatically recognize and record high-movement activities through the SmartTrack feature. To start, the default duration settings of your Fitbit Luxe is 15 minutes long. However, you can also choose which activities your device tracks automatically, or change the amount of time needed to record the activity. To do so, please follow the next steps:

  1. Tap the Today tab , then tap the Exercise tile.
  2. Tap the gear icon in the top right.
  3. Tap an exercise, and adjust the duration or turn off Auto-recognize.

If you read my comment properly, you would know that I've turned it off
and on, many many times!

One day it worked, the next it didn't, I did nothing to make this
happen, it used to record my walks, it even suggested that I cycled
while I walked on the beach one day, then hey presto nothing!  There is
nothing I haven't tried from my end to try to get the stupid thing
recording.  No amount of you telling me to do the stuff that you've told
me, makes any difference to the end result.  No exercise, at all, has
been recorded since the date I mentioned on my comment.  I'm very
dissatisfied and suspect it's just something gone wrong your end,
because I'm not the only one complaining about the same issue.

I now have a new phone, which I also put in my original comment, and the
fitbit paired perfectly with my new phone, yet it won't record one
exercise done.

I didn't really expect to get much help here.

My inspire inexplicably stopped recognizing exercises and sleep starting on 9/10/23. None of the suggested solutions made any difference. Perhaps this is Fitbit’s way to get us to upgrade?!?

I'm pretty sure you're right about that.  It happened previously with
the Fitbit One too, they just stop supporting their products.

Mine has also stopped auto detecting exercise. It says it's on, I rebooted my device. Nada.  

Is anyone with Fitbit looking into a solution for this?
