My Inspire has randomly logged my sleep as completely uninterrupted overnight, which I know wasn’t due to pain, my steps have recorded me getting up and walking around twice. It’s so unusual I notice the fault straight away. 10 Hrs vs my usual 5! Anyone else having issues with this?
Update;
still not working correctly, only logged 1.5hrs this morning 27/6 from 6am, added sleep from 11pm but just adds full sleep for this rather than tracked, again I got up more than once and steps were tracked. 😬
update 28/6/25 - logged part sleep on day before and part sleep on this morning. Amended sleep to complete periods I was in bed, it lost the stats for original sleep log and changed to solid sleep between 1.15 to 2.55 even though they were the original part sleep (with stat times awake, restless & sleep originally). I think I’m done with Fitbit I’ve tried to be patient but it’s getting worse and stats are not reliable anymore.😞
update: 29/6- worked fine as recorded automatically as 1 sleep, the issue is back this morning 30/6 it seems that a change has been made and if it records your sleep in 2,sessions rather than one or if you correct any sessions it records undisturbed sleep rather than the pattern of your sleep. Even when you have recorded steps within the time from sleep disturbance. Because of this it is now totally unreliable for accurate sleep stats. I am going to try the start sleep function to see how that works out, I’ll let you know.

Same. For a couple of days now, it hasn't tracked sleep at all, and when I try to add sleep manually it can't find the data. Watch is fully charged, the green light on the back is flashing, FitBit app is up to date, bluetooth is on.

Fed up with Fitbit since change to Google, lots of issues with it. Also discovered today that active minutes aren’t working properly on the tracker the app has accurate count 145 minutes difference. Will have to log this too.

My app updated on Monday on my phone, and I noticed that my last two nights of sleep were wildly off.
Tuesday morning it said that Monday into Tuesday I slept a little under my usual, which is odd but not completely unheard of, so I kind of shrugged it off.
The last two night it showed my sleep way down, with me being awake an hour each night in the middle of the night. That is WAY off, and I definitely slept more each night. I’d definitely know if I was awake for over an hour in the middle of the night.

Sleep issue was last night, activity today I think, may not have noticed this and as it’s the tracker not the app I can’t now check.

Update
30/6 to 1/7 logging sleep appeared to work yesterday and sleep was recorded with restless/awake/sleep stats as 1sleep period. …However for 1 to 2/7 this did not work again! stats were completely removed giving 2 solid periods of sleep with no record of restless/awake/asleep stats again, and a period missing in-the middle. Which was incorrect. I had a very disturbed sleep from the heat, steps were actually recorded during this period. I deleted the sleep and logged it manually as a complete period and boom the restless/awake/sleep stats were back and much more accurate.
I have no idea what’s going on with Fitbit sleep as it’s intermittent but you cannot at this time relay on your sleep stats for any accuracy. 😡
I will keep looking at this and let you know of any progress. Fitbit need to be looking at this to sort it out.

Update 4-5 July.
Sadly the start sleep option doesn’t always work either giving total time from start to finish without stats or hours are correct but no stats for restless/awake/sleep.
I appear to have found workaround (which the customers shouldn’t have to do @Fitbit). I have been using start/end sleep function and when it’s about the correct hours but without the stats, I delete it then add it again manually and the stats appear 🤯 Not ideal but it’s been working.
How have you been getting on? Any changes?

So I logged into the Fitbit chat system for help a couple times, and think the second time may've helped find a fix, as the last three nights' worth of data seems to be back on track. What I did on my iPhone:
1) Make sure to sync your Fitbit with the app so the app has your current info. (I didn't do this and lost a few hours' worth of data).
Note: Before the below, I'd done a reset on my Fitbit device per the chat moderator, so some of the specs I'd set (auto-detecting exercise off, status tray off) reverted to the original factory ones. I'm not entirely convinced this would necessarily need to be done, but if you want to try, swipe down from the Clock face on the device and go to Settings app > Device Info > Clear User Data.
2) Delete the Fitbit app from your phone (delete/remove- you will redownload it shortly).
3) In your phone's bluetooth, disconnect the Fitbit device/remove it from the phone's paired Bluetooth devices.
4) After a couple of minutes, re-pair the device and your phone via Bluetooth.
5) Redownload the Fitbit app, and re-pair the device.
I'm hoping to continue to see my "normal" sleep data pattern continue...stay tuned! Hopefully this works for you, too!

Thank you for the update, tbh these are the first things I always try when the system blips with steps, exercise or sleep. It was never a problem pre Google. The workaround is working better for sleep now for me with no breaks between sleep periods and seems accurate again but once my inspire finally stops working I’m going elsewhere.

Just curious as I only got my inspire for Xmas- when did Google take over/when was there a noticeable shift in the Fitbit?

Thank you for that - I have tried that and it does seem to work. However I can't go back doing this for all the historical data. Clearly the data is there but is just being displayed incorrectly so I would imagine this is a bug introduced in a recent release.
I have sent feedback via the app but get no response at all. Does anyone from Fitbit/Google monitor these forums?

I'm glad it worked! But it does stink about the impacted historical data. I'm not sure if anybody like that monitors these forums, but they should! I'm interested to know what response you get to your feedback.

I noticed I had issues with my Fitbit stats late last year, looking at the issue/s and community forum lots of others did too, It appears to point towards the version updates, but quite a few saying there’s been snags since the changeover to Google doing the updates. There’s stuff on line about the too. I have unpaired my phone which has helped with some of these but is a pain if I don’t wear my device or when updating activity on the app. I have an old inspire I think Google want us to buy new but I have seen the same issues reported with those too.

Did this work? I have a big difference between the app start sleep now and when I add it manually (which is definitely more accurate).
this is app
this is manually added and much more accurate.
app has added an extra repeat sleep between 1020 pm and 0159 and put sleep on for 9.50pm to 0609 ????

Interesting… I never thought about logging manually. I may have to try that. I see there was another app update Monday so my sleep Monday and Tuesday nights were off again 😕 Tried dropping my device from the app/my phone and re-pairing them yesterday but that didn’t help with last night. A little bit ago I simply removed and then reinstalled the app on my phone without doing anything to the device. We’ll see how that fares tonight because I don’t want to have to uninstall the app and re-set up the device as brand new every time there’s an app update

My sleep was about an hour off this morning with breaks in between ( I didn’t get up!) because of the first break it logged the first sleep without stats and as full sleep, editing it didn’t work it just added more hours without stats and as all sleep. I had to delete it all from the app and then add it manually, it weird because then it’s more accurate and the stats are all there anyway so I’m not sure why they keep disappearing ? 🤯
When all of this started happening with steps etc I was advised to unpair the phone this seems to work for that.

Urgh, I deleted my sleep period and then re-added it manually but it was pretty much the same/still seemed off.
You’re trying the unpairing the device from you phone and re-adding it for tonight? (But leaving the app be/not deleting it?)

Mine hasn’t shown the restless/awake segments in a few days, even after reboot, etc. I just tried logging it manually and it worked but that isn’t sustainable.

Interesting, mine’s been showing too much in the awake stages/saying I’m awake more than I know I am.
It was only showing REM, light and deep sleep before you did the manual add?

Hi, mine has recorded solid sleep for the last 2 days without stats which I know is incorrect. I deleted the sleep and re entered it manually on both days then all of the sleep stats appeared, the difference was 9 + hours to 5 + hours with the stats which is much more accurate for me. It’s does not work to just edit it as it counts all of the edit as solid sleep. My phone is unpaired permanently now as it also messes up the step counts etc. you need to impair your phone before adding the correct sleep. Hope this helps.
