I have had my inspire for nearly 2 months, everything seemed fine, but now my sleep tracker just stopped working and like most others I have tried absolutely everything to get this back on track - I have even uninstalled/reinstalled on my Galaxy S9. Hoping for a quick fix from Fitbit or it’s being returned - first ever purchase and must say I’m disappointed ☹️

Same here. All of a sudden sleep is not tracking. Do I need to reset anything? If so, how ?

My Inspire automatically detected when I fell asleep for the first month or so that I had it, and then it stopped. Now I have to manually enter on the phone app when I go to sleep and when I wake up, and if I forget it throws all my data off. I am not enjoying this device nearly as much as I was at first.

Note: I tried resetting the device and I've tried wearing it looser or tighter to bed, but it still won't auto detect any more.

Hi Bethgh - you could try a reset, but nothing has worked for me. To reset put your Fitbit on the charger and press and hold the side button down for 5 seconds to turn it off - Leave it for a few seconds then press the side button again and it should come up with a smiley face - reset should be complete.

Same here - I can’t understand why it would stop for no reason!
I’m starting to loose sleep wondering it it’s working through the night 😱

I filed a ticket yesterday and the online chat person had me reset my Fitbit until I saw the smiley face. It still didn't log my sleep last night.

I filed yet another ticket and talked with an online agent. She said it is now a known issue and the engineering team is working on a fix. She said to keep an eye out for an update to the phone app soon.

Hopefully they get it sorted soon as there are a lot of people having the same issue!
Meantime I’m just using mine for steps and calories, gave up with the sleep tracker, not a lot I can do unless I return it - I’ll wait first to see if the upgrade helps - good luck.

Note that I broached the subject of returning my Fitbit and they said that you cannot return it after 45 days (I had mine about 50 days when I brought up the subject).

I'm tentatively optimistic that the issue is resolved. I reset my device again last night based on something I saw on another thread. When it came back online, it gave me an option (on the device screen itself) to select whether it's in "wrist mode" or "clip mode." It had defaulted to "clip mode." I switched it to wrist mode and last night it auto-tracked my sleep again, for the first time in almost a month.
These are all good questions, but at least it tracked my sleep last night.

That’s fantastic news - I’ll give this a try tonight and let you know how it goes - fingers crossed 🤞

The warranty is one year. I called and asked for return authorization, described all the steps I had taken to troubleshoot, with no success. They finally agreed to send me a replacement. New one still did not track sleep, until I Reset device and switched to wrist mode for sleep. Hope it stays stable with other functions.

Thanks for the tip. The reset and switch to wrist mode worked. They apparently are addressing the issue. Hope all remains stable. So far I do not like the Inspire but I need the Clip option. Sure do miss the One.

Well good news, so far, my sleep has tracked for the past 3 nights after doing the rest-set. Hope all is going well for you both also? 👍
