Last week there was a prompt in the iOS app to update the firmware on Inspire HR. After the next charge I decided to update. After the update everything seemed to be okay but a little later I noticed the language had changed. I have not changed anything in the settings of the app or via the web dashboard which would affect language settings but logged in via the web to check. I found that the settings had been changed there as well and the dashboard was also showing in the new language.
Today I had another prompt to update the firmware so checked the installed version. It displays as 1.63.5 which is the version before last week's update. It is not clear whether the update was successful but the new firmware does not display the correct version number or it was not successful and that is why I am being prompted again. Either way, the language should not have changed.

@SunsetRunner Thanks for stopping by!
Thank you for letting me know about the language changing your tracker. Could someone else have changed the language on the website for your Fitbit settings? Still it is odd that this happened. By the sound of it you were able to update the device again and that this issue hasn't occurred again. If it does then please let me know.
I look forward to your reply.

No. I do not share passwords with anyone, sign off when I have finished using the site and use unique and complex passwords. In the case of Fitbit the password is randomly generated with 20 characters comprising upper and lower case, numbers and symbols. Whilst it is not mathematically impossible to guess, the chances are almost zero.

I have not said that and there is nothing in my post which implies it so I don't know what gives you that impression. As I said, the update progressed as normal and the fact that the language changed suggests that some firmware version was applied but the version number reported did not change so I had (and still have) no way of knowing whether anything other than the language changed.
This is not the first time this has happened. The last time I ran a firmware update the same thing happened. At that time I was not very familiar with Fitbit and not 100% sure I had not done something wrong so did not post a comment. Having to manually change the language setting back and wait another 30 minutes for an update is very frustrating.
