Manually set steps to zero?

I've found messages but no answer, except someone having a problem with timezones. So, yesterday I managed to set steps to zero by changing timezone then changing back. But, today, that didn't set steps to zero.

There is really no way to set the steps to zero? If so, that is strange. I really don't want to add yesterdays exercise to today.

I think I figured it out:

Swiping down, at the end, there is Settings. In Settings, swiping up is "Clear user data". Press for 3s as it counts down to zero. After that user stats are reset.

All daily stats, steps, calories, etc, should automatically reset to 0 at midnight every day.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Just curious.  Why would you want to reset steps other than at midnight?  Do you do this every day, or is this a one-time thing?

I'm not sure what has happened. I've only been using it for a few days, so far. But, every day after the first, it has the stats from the previous day. Maybe, if I'm moving around after midnight it doesn't reset?

Anyway, just the words: "It will reset at midnight" sets of alarm bells in my head. People do exactly the same thing every day? Certainly not me.
