My Inspire experience

I have previously owned and used the Fitbit Flex, One, and Alta.  I loved the Alta but it needed to be replaced.  I.chose the Inspire (économic and perhaps erroneous decision). I am very disappointed . Had this been my first experience with a fitbit product, I would be done with this brand of fitness trackers.

I find the wrist band hard to change and takes several tries to get it to stay.  Even more frustrating is that I can’t get the sleep to track automatically.  The icon is faded on my device and hasn’t tracked the last two nights.  I have reset twice and still not working.  I prefer the smaller face but am wondering from other Inspire users if you managed to get sleep tracker to work automatically.  Given your Inspire experience, should I keep or return?

Hi @KaraBeee - This is frustrating! The Inspire HR is my primary device and I really like it. I can't tell from your post how long you've had the device. Was everything fine, but these issues crept up? I'm also not sure what you mean about the icon being faded. Since you've already tried restarting your tracker (several times it sounds like!), assuming your are still within the warranty period, I'd give Fitbit Customer Support a shout (or chat). The link is in my signature below. Good luck!

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @KaraBeee. I'm sorry to hear about your experience with your Fitbit Inspire. Thank you for letting us know that you have tried restarting your device.

Fitbit Inspire has 2 detachable wristbands that you can replace with accessory wristbands sold separately. Note that to switch between small and large wristbands, only the replace the bottom wristband.

To remove the wristband:

  1. Turn over Inspire and find the quick-release lever.
  2. While pressing the quick-release level inward, gently pull the wristband away from the tracker to release it.
  3. Repeat on the other side.

To attach a new wristband:

  1. Slide the pin (the side opposite the quick-release lever) into the notch on the tracker. Attach the wristband with the clasp to the top of the tracker.
  1. While pressing the quick-release lever inward, slide the other end of the wristband into place.
  1. When both ends of the pin are inserted, release the quick release lever.

Since your Inspire isn't registering your sleep, I recommend trying the following:

  1. Manually sync the tracker. See instructions in How do Fitbit devices sync their data?
  2. Try sleeping with the tracker on your non-dominant hand.
  3. If steps 1-3 don't work, I suggest manually logging your sleep to reflect the time slept. See instructions in How do I change my sleep history?

If you're still experiencing difficulties you can follow @Ozzie65's advise.
