Hello I just got my elderly mom a inspire hr. She Walks with a walker and I don’t feel the device is counting her steps correctly as her arms don’t move and she takes small steps. Is there a way to correct this. I made her walk a lot today and it only record 427 steps

Hi @Samwitch Yes, you are right - the lack of arm swing will impact the step count, unfortunately. The only way around this is for her to wear it on her body or in a pocket (a hip pocket works best I understand), however she will lose the Heart Rate recording if you do this. Another alternative might be to try wearing it on her ankle as I have heard that the heart rate can be picked up there, and though the step count is not likely to be fully accurate, it should be much more accurate than you are getting at the moment.
