Hello Fitbit team,

as per subject, me (and maybe others) feel the lack of crossrope as possible exercise to be tracked.

When i jump rope the Inspire recognize it automatically as elliptical 😮

Crossrope movement is easily recognizable, so great value if you add a movement model for crossrope!

thanks in advance

Hi @Floppyn!  I found this Feature Suggestion to add Jump Rope.  It's quite old and says it's "not currently planned", but you could still add your vote.

@Floppyn Hello!  I would suggest that you start the activity from your device as "Workout" and then you can rename it in the app when the activity is done to whatever you want, like Cross Rope or Jump Rope.

Hello @Heather-S thanks for your reply. Yes it looks a nice workaround and effectively the app let me to change the exercise name it in "Jumping Rope".
I will use the workaround, but... I would prefer "JumpRope" as a preset so I can choose directly the activity, without a later editing. Am I too lazy? 🙂

Thanks again

Hello @Heather-M and all, I did some test and unfortunately previous trick does not address the need.
I noticed that I can't edit (and change) the activity if I choose it from the Fitbit before starting workout: I can edit only if the activity is self detected. And in case of jumping rope it interprets (sometime) the movements as elliptical. But i don't want to rely on auto detect, I want intentionally track my jump rope session.

Bottom line, I'd like to hear something from the dev or the product manager about my request:
- is it possible to add "JumpRope" as excercise in the preset list?

Thanks
Fabrizio

Hello @Heather-M thanks so much  for the reference. Unfortunately it seems that this kill my dreams 🙂
Anyway I added my vote to that 2016 request...Not so confident that Fitbit will take care of his 92 customers requesting that improvement 😞

I'd really appreciate a reaction, even if negative.
Anyyway thanks and kudos to you Heather-M.
