Hello @HollieJL, sorry for the delayed reply. 

 

Before considering other options, please confirm if you already tried all the steps listed here to resolve problems during the firmware update: Why can't I update my Fitbit device?

 

Also, please make sure to check if the mobile device you're using is listed here as a compatible device to sync with the Fitbit app, or let me know if you're using a computer to complete the update.

I'm sorry to see that you've been having trouble to complete the firmware update. Could you please confirm if you were finally able to complete the update, or if you're still having trouble with this? You can check the details for the latest firmware updates here

We are waiting Fitbit informing us about what the issue is. Lots of people are having this issue.

Just bought the inspire hr, took it out of the box and trying to update it. Have tried even instruction, troubleshooting tip, and on multiple devices. Still doesnt work. Now I remember why I tossed my charge hr in the trash!

 I bought my Inspire HR today. I have tried all of the solutions suggested. Restarting my Iphone 6S, restarting my Inspire HR and trying to update on a smartphone, which is compatible. To no avail. This is very frustrating to not be able to use my Inspire HR.

It boggles my mind that, as a first-time Fitbit user, I am required to do a firmware update before I can even see the time on the device.  This is a new product – why is a firmware update required right out of the box?

 

And then when the firmware update process is not working....  Beyond words.

While waiting in line for the next live chat, and still continuing to try to solve the problem, my download finally started. It ended short of 13 people in front of me. Apparently the techs were able to solve and fix the problem. Once my Fitbit Inspire HR was properly working, I found that it meets and exceeds my expectations. So far, loving it!

I'm sorry to see that you've also experienced trouble to complete the update. I've seen many reports of users who were finally able to complete the update, please try to follow the steps here to complete it and check if you continue to experience any difficulty. If you haven't done so already, make sure to give these steps a try if you're encounter any problem.

The latest update has been running 15 hours. I tried for four hours before that. Third attempt - after restarting device, forgetting on Bluetooth, restarting phone etc. years ago an update broke my Charge and Fitbit refused to help. Here we are again. I need my device. It’s unacceptable that again my Fitbit device has become a brick. Please help.

I am still having issues installing firmware update. I’ve had this issue on and off since Jan 2020. I tried  everything Customer Support provided including the information you provided. I have an Apple Pro 9.7 device. I’m connected to the internet, my Inspire is fully charged and near by, Bluetooth is enabled.....

Help!

Hi David,

First time to use this page, so i hope it is sent to the correct place.

I bought the fitbit inspire hr for my wife for Christmas but its not working.

Its the same issue as all the other people on this thread.

Ive tried all the steps you mentioned but it wont update.

Please help !

This is really disappointing as a product so far.

Thank you for sharing this information about what you've been experiencing with your Inspire HR device. 

 

Before considering other options, since this is a new device, I do recommend that you try syncing your data constantly for a new days, since the firmware update is released progressively to the users and it downloads in the background. Many users with new devices receive the firmware update banner in the app only a few days after using and syncing the device.
