Pushing button to finish exercise shows battery level

To finish an exercise it says to push the button but when I do this it shows the battery level screen and then goes back to the paused exercise. How do I get the exercise to actually  finish?

Hi @Escott To end the exercise give a short press of the button. To see the battery it is a long press. See ifnthat makes a difference and come back here if you continue to have problems.

That is not working for me.  Just get battery level
