Resting heart rate

Hello. My resting heart rate is usually between 58 and 62. I eat healthy and exercise regularly. I’ve been wearing my fit bit for about six months now. Over the last week and a half my resting heart rate has gone up to 70! Any reason this could be something wrong with the Fitbit?

Hi @Juliannehelen4 Well it is possible it is something wrong with the Inspire HR, but more likely a change in your resting HR. Mine goes up when I am either stressed or unwell. Is it possibly that with you? Id wait for a few more days and see what happens with it. Perhaps try restarting tje Inspire a few times as well in case it is a glitch.

Hey there @Juliannehelen4 .. it could be so many different things and none of them alarming. the change in weather, a slight change in your diet, stress, allergies.. you name it. I think if you are truly concerned you should see a doctor, but mostly I think it is a moment in time and will go down with time.

Hi @Juliannehelen4 I have had the same problem myself this week!  Been wearing a fitbit pretty much for 3 years now and resting heart rate has always averaged out between 58 and 61, however in the last week it is up to 67!  I can't work out why as nothing has changed in my diet, lifestyle, health.  The only things that usually make my RHR go up by a point or 2 is alcohol and period, neither of which are true in this case.  The only thing I can think of is that the day this started, my fitbit froze for about 3 hours.  Maybe this is the reason? It does start to worry you though.
