Resting heart rate

I'm a healthy 27 year old female who has a fitbit inspire. Since a week or so ago, my resting heart rate which is usually 58-62 tops has increased to 64-65. Only thing I did was a 15000 step hike so my heart rate was usually constantly at 120bpm for 2 hours. The only other difference is my dad's anniversary of his cardiac arrest was a few days ago and it's always upsetting. Should I be concerned? I haven't changed anything bar that and gaining 3 pounds....

Some people find that a trend of increasing heart rate often comes when you are about to get sick, say with a cold, with your body fighting it off before you realize it.  But it can also be a sign of stress, and could be caused by your dad's cardiac arrest anniversary.

I'm certainly no medical expert, but unless it continues going up for a few weeks, I doubt it's a sign of any heart issue, perhaps a sign to take care of yourself with plenty of sleep and some relaxation time in case of an infection or catching a cold or an infection.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thanks Johnny,

It could be stress related I suppose. I hope I'm not getting ill. Don't feel anything wrong (hopefully not Corona!). I've got checks for bloods and everything and I've come back fine. So hopefully it goes back down? I will try relaxing and sleeping better.
