I rollerblade several days a week, and want to see a distance and speed map like it shows when I bike. Should I choose the Bike setting to do this, and then manually change the exercise after to rollerblading?
Also, I've noticed that when I skate it DOES give me credit for "steps." When I bike and select on the Exercise icon, it shows me my calories and active minutes but gives me 0 credit there in the "Impact on your Day" section under "steps taken". Yet, when I click on the Steps icon, I can see that both biking and rollerblading ARE in fact somehow calculating Steps.
I select Workout for rollerblading (and manually change to rollerblading activity after) and use Bike for outside Biking.
Anyway, would like GPS to work with rollerblading, and this Steps counting stuff seems wonky.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @DallasSkateMom. I'll be happy to assist you with your Rollerblade activity inquiry.
The mentioned activities will always register some steps but they won't be very significant. You can try registering your Rollerblade activity as Biking and then change the name as you mentioned and it will track your GPS. You must take into consideration that calorie estimation will be slightly different because of the type of activity and it might calculate more steps because of the arm movement.
Please let me know if you have more questions.

Thanks, but the steps are pretty significant. It's giving me credit for 2800 steps for a half hour skate and nearly 5000 steps for a 50 minute bike ride.
I do like the idea of "converting" exercise into Steps, just as a product suggestion or option. Since I'm going for active minutes + 10k or equivalent steps per day.
Still don't see why FitBit can't just add the GPS to each activity as a default. Thanks though!

Andrea there are 4 years i read request for skate activity, but Fitbit team never added it. I liked ionic but I had to buy Garmin because had a skate activity.
bike is not the right one. Watch should track skates steps and ...pace..cadence... The skate steps for minute. And the right calories... If you add skate I ll but my a fitbit
