Screen not reacting when wet

I teach a pre/postnatal aqua fitness class. I need to be able to time the ladies at times when they are doing reps of certain exercises. I just got this Fitbit and tried to use it in class last night with little success. It seems once the device gets water on the screen I can not swipe to the ”timers” menu. Is there a way to set the screen to stay on while on stopwatch? I could set it on before getting in the pool to teach. Or is there a setting to make the screen more sensitive to pick up swipes when wet from the pool?

Hello and welcome to the forums @AquaTeachGirl  what an awesome teaching experience. I wish there was an easy answer for you, but there is no setting to make the screen more sensitive to touch when it's wet. My phone does the same thing when I have wet fingers and nothing works unless I dry the screen. Is it possible for you to have a dry towel tucked away to use? Maybe a sweat band on your head that can be used to wipe your fingers?
