Sleep Statistics Have Bug

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

For about the past 10 days the sleep stats change throughout the day, but perhaps worse...it DOESN'T take into account the previous day.  If I go to sleep at 10pm and awake at 5:30am the sleep stats show 12:15am-5:30am....5 hours 15 minutes.  This morning it showed 12:45pm - 5:30am 4 hours 45 minutes....and just now changed to 1:54am - 5:30am.  The unit is fully charged so what's wrong?

Open yesterday's sleep and scroll down to the end to see if you have "Other Sleep" listed.  You might see something like 10 PM - 11:45 PM  which would mean it thought you woke up at 11:45 PM until whatever time it started your sleep this this morning.  If that is the case, it recorded it as 2 separate sleep sessions; it is not clear how much of a break it takes for fitbit to consider it separate sleep sessions but it is known to happen just from getting up to use the bathroom.  As to why it would be recorded for yesterday, fitbit credits every sleep session to the day the session ends.
If this is what is happening to you and you want to try to adjust it, you can try editing your sleep, deleting one of the sleep sessions, probably the shorter one credited to the previous day, then editing the start time of today's sleep to begin yesterday evening.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
