Sleep tracker turned off?

How do I turn it back on?  I didn't do this, but tapping on the icon won't let me turn it on again - it remains greyed out.  What happened? I even tried restarting the unit, but sleep tracking is still turned off

Last night ,just a mysteriously, the sleep app counted my sleep, but the icon is still grey on my Inspire. What's going on?

@RedHedd   I do not own an Inspire, but have been a Fitbit user for many years.  Does the the sleep icon change if you change between the On Wrist and On Clip setting?  Press and hold the button for about two seconds to get to the Quick Settings.

The Inspire is kind of an evolution of the Fitbit One (but without the floor counting).  The One had a wrist band for sleep and it was recommended for sleep.  The Inspire Manual doesn't specifically address On Wrist or On Clip for sleep.  But I suspect the On Wrist setting would be better at detecting sleep -- or a lot of time sitting still would get recorded as naps.

Does this help?

Yes it does!  Saturday night I had switched it to "on clip" because I was wearing it clipped to a garment and that's when the sleep tracking turned off.  I switched it back to "on wrist" on Sunday and - voila! - it worked Sunday night.  Glitchy as heck!

And it did it again.  Appears to be turned off; did not track my sleep last night.  Inspire is set to "on wrist."  What is going on?  The night before my sleep hours were WAY off.  This thing is useless to track sleep for me right now.  Please fix it.

I just got my Inspire yesterday (my FitBit One finally died on me) and my sleep tracker has always been grayed out. Can't figure out how to get it to work.

No, not resolved.  The sleep icon is still grayed out intermittently and then it works for a while.  Sleep tracking is so inaccurate, it's a joke.

When I first got my inspire, about a month ago, the sleep tracker worked part of the time, sometimes the times it said I was sleeping when I know I wasn’t and didn’t record sleep when o was sleeping. So Sunday the sleep tracker connection on the home page was gone. I can find the sleep tracker in the discovery portion but like someone else said, the continue button is greyed out and I’m unable to restore it. What happened!  Was it only a trial deal and my time was up?  Do I have to become a premium paying member to use the sleep tracker?
