Sporadic Step Counting on Elliptical

Has anyone had the issue of steps being counted on the elliptical on a "sporadic" only basis?  My I new Fitbit counts for a few steps and then stops.  When it starts counting again it will have recorded maybe 1/4 of the steps since the last update.

Sorry for the issues that you're having with your Fitbit Inspire accuracy. Please make sure to check this recommendations and restart instructions. Our team is working on this. You feedback is really important for us, at this moment we don't have more information about it. We'll have to wait for the next update.
