Title says it all. I am able to edit and have a free slot in my shortcuts. There was a ‘sport’ shortcut when i first got it but i can’t find it, and in my activity log i see that there was a ‘sport’ log. Did they remove the ‘sport’ exercise shortcut?

'Sport' was not an Exercise Shortcut.  But it is one of the auto-recognized exercise possibilities.  You cannot choose that as an exercise type in the Exercise App, but if you rely on the (less reliable) exercise auto-recognition, Fitbit might classify your activity as 'Sport', based on what pattern of wrist movement it sees, but you never know until it is over. You can see the auto-recognized possibilities by tapping the days of week exercise tile, then the gear icon near top right.

Though if you have been using the Exercise App, I recommend continuing to use it for most activities, at least other than walking or running.  Rather than the generic 'Sport' the Exercise App does include several shortcuts for specific sports, and well as 'Workout' that can be used for anything not specifically listed.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
