App does not allow me to choose treadmill as exercise... only walking. And my steps are not being counted properly when on treadmill... and i use my arms when walking.

See How do I change or reorder the exercises in the Exercise app?

Treadmill is the first one listed. Tap on it and them start it

Also do not expect the steps you are taking on the treadmill to be accurate. You are not going anywhere. IE you are not covering any distance on a threadmill

Are you using the exercise app, starting from the tracker, not from phone app?

I agree you really need to be clear how you are trying to add. Its really hard to tell if it computer  or phone. And Please let us know if it is Android or iOS They are different

@Helenvpowassan   Those are 2 totally separate exercise lists.  The first one that says 'Auto-Recognized Exercises'

is the list of activities Fitbit can automatically recognize without using the Exercise App.  You cannot choose an option from that list.  Those are ones that can get recognized automatically if you do not use the Exercise App.

The 2nd list starting with Treadmill, Interval Workout, ... are the choices you can choose from when you start a workout with the Exercise App.  Get to the Exercise App by scrolling up (swiping down) from the main clock face until you see 'Exercise'.  Tap that, then scroll left or right to choose the exericse you want.
