Turn off Clock

Hi,

Is there a way to disable the clock, like on the Alta?  The settings on the Alta has a customize display option where I turn off the clock, battery and whatever. I don't see that option with this one.

I would like to keep this one because I can wear it swimming.

Thank you!

Hi @JamieL23  Yes, I agree, the ability to set the screen sequence and turn screensnon and off was a useful feature, but unfortunately not a feature the Inspire or Inspire HR have. The new operating system starts at the clock face to navigate anywhere, so I think that has to stay there.

Thank you for your reply.  I appreciate you taking the time.

I was able to turn off the quick display, but it still turns on with the flick of the wrist. So that's not working. I don't want to know what time it is every few minutes. I know it's a petty thing, but I'm going to have to return this model. In the meantime I'll just use my Flex 2 for swimming.

Do you know if the other swim proof modes have the screen options settings?

I'm not sure why companies take features away instead of adding features. It doesn't make sense to me.

Welcome to the Forums @JamieL23, it's always great to have new faces around. @NellyG thanks for the help!

I really appreciate the time you've taken to try that suggestion. It's possible that the tracker isn't very tight on your wrist. The screen will still come on if it gets tapped as that is expected since the Fitbit Inspire HR screen is very sensitive. Please check that it is not too loose on your wrist and if turning off the Screen Wake settings doesn't work; I'd suggest to restart your device before you trying to return it.

It is great that you have the option to use the Fitbit Flex 2 for swimming. You can see below the Fitbit devices with swim tracking and you can compare features taking a quick quiz here:

Hope it helps.

Couldn't agree more. The ability to disable the clock was the reason I got the Alta. I already have a watch and I really want not to wear two.

It does seem strange that Fitbit insist on putting a clock on their otherwise excellent trackers. I really hope this is made optional in a future update.
