Two Different Step Counts in App, Steps Missing from Graph Data

It seems to count throughout the day just fine and the "total" steps displayed on the home page is accurate. However, when going to the detailed step graph or the exercise tracking page, it shows a much lower number of steps with -3530 steps missing from today. I wouldn't care so much if it weren't for the fact that the UHC Motion App pulls from this data to credit me for completing my daily goals and I'm losing out on money since this glitch keeps occurring. I want to know why I'm getting +0 steps credit on my exercise when it clearly shows I went for an almost 20 minute run this morning, yet logs no steps on this part of the app. It has done this multiple times this month with my new Fitbit Inspire HR. And yes, I have tried restarting both tracker, phone, app, etc. multiple times now.

I'm having the same problem with my Versa 2. I've tried every troubleshooting step in the book, and it's still doing this. I've "lost" as many as 600 steps in one day. It seems like an issue that should be easy to fix, yet support is not responding to anyone who brings it up.

Yes, my old Flex is doing the same thing. It shows that I did 8,600(ish) steps today, but if I look at the graph it seems like it only adds up to about 1400.

What the heck is going on Fitbit????  Pretty frustrating as I'm trying to calculate distance for specific walks.
