Two Missing Hours

I just synced my Fitbit Inspire HR using the Android app.

On my stats, there is a hole exactly two hours long.

According to Fitbit, I took no steps, burned no calories, and earned no Active Minutes between 8AM and 10AM, Eastern.

As it happens, I was at the gym that entire time doing both weight training and 45 minutes of cardio.  So, I was definitely active.

In fact, my device now shows I have fewer calories burned than I did three hours ago.

What could account for this glitch?

Thanks.

Hi, @Wildcatguy , do you use iOS?  If so, your issue may be related to a problem that has recently affected iOS users.  If that is the case, the solution would be to make sure that your app is up to date.  The current version, which should fix the problem, is 3.17.  (I am not sure, however, whether it will retrospectively correct the problem, but with an updated app this should not happen in the future.)

In the meantime, if you would like to have a record of your gym session, and update your calorie count, you can create a manual log.  Instructions here

**Sorry! Edited to add: I should have noted that you said you use Android!  So it won’t be the iOS bug...

Other thoughts: is the time on the Inspire correct?  Is your timezone set correctly.

Also, sometimes some stats do not sync through all at once.  If you wait a bit your stats for those hours may come through.

My point about a manual log still applies, but in this case I would wait a bit before manual logging because a manual log suppresses activity automatically detected by the Fitbit during the same time period ***

Hi, Julia.

I went back and manually edited the log.

I deleted entries that didn't sync correctly, and re-entered them manually.

After I did that, the steps, calories, and Active Minutes seemed to correct themselves.

Thanks so much for the helpful suggestion!  I will remember that if and when this ever happens again.

Cheers!
